The unique house located just outside the village of Tomach in Scotland was built from the tireless efforts of the couple. They really wanted to show off their magical intelligence by thrifting, sewing and carving to create a hobbit style house. They began collecting what they could find in the surrounding wilderness, so it’s no wonder this home has many natural touches. While the outside area looks stunning with its natural surroundings, the home’s interior uses a rustic style all the way to the ceiling to bring peace and comfort while lingering in it. This hobbit house is built entirely of concrete, allowing many different types of plants such as moss to grow on every part of the walls and roof. Concrete was chosen because the material will quickly take on more character and appeal over time. Almost every piece of wood is hand-carved by the owner, while other features are naturally made from surrounding objects, such as the lovely planters on both sides.

The exterior combines a garden and terrace, equipped with a small pond complete with its own water wheel and a small arch bridge. I also saw unexpected hidden works of art, a face peeking out from the edge of the roof. Not only does it have a rustic style, you’ll find thick iron details that give it a medieval charm.
