The “saddleback” caterpillar is the larva of a moth native to Eastern North America. With a length of only about 2.5 cm, their bite is very painful and can secrete venom.
This caterpillar is characterized by two dark brown heads and sharp “horns”. The middle part of the body is green, while the edges are slightly white.
A particularly important point is that in the middle of their body there is a brown oval dot that looks exactly like a saddle. Because of this, they have the unique name “saddleback” caterpillars.
