China announced on March 7 the discovery of a giant ice cave near the “three-colored lake” in the Tibet autonomous region, southwest of the country.

The beautiful arc-shaped cave is located in Banbar district of Qamdo district, about 6km from Puyu village committee.
According to preliminary surveys, it is 165m long, 26m wide, 15m high and is considered the largest ice cave in the Tibet autonomous region.
Another surprise is that this natural structure can be accessed in both directions. There are very few such super ice caves in the world. The middle of the cave is very dark and you need to bring a flashlight to enter.
The scenery in the cave is of uneven size, but “all are wonderful”. The ice cave looks like a crystal palace. The ice on the cliffs sparkles in the sunlight, creating a dreamlike scene.

This is one of the few mysterious “ice and snow worlds” in Tibet, promising to become an ideal destination for those who love to explore nature. Outside the cave there are snow mountains, glaciers and ice crevices tens of meters high.
Currently, the site is accessible by hiking, horseback riding and motorbike riding.
