A turtle with two heads and six legs has just been displayed in an exhibition of reptiles in the Ukrainian capital.
RIA Novosti reported that the strange turtle appeared at the exhibition called “Live Dragons” in the Natural History Museum of Kiev city from February 24.

Dmitry Tkachev, a member of the exhibition’s organizing committee, said that the turtle has two heads, six legs and two hearts due to a genetic mutation. It was born in the home of an animal breeder. In the wild, such turtles cannot survive.
“The two heads of the turtle cannot see each other. Each head has its own personality, so they usually don’t crawl in the same direction,” Tkachev said.
Sergei Ryabov, director of a reptile research center in Ukraine, said that each turtle likes its own food.
“One head eats everything, but likes green leaves. The other end doesn’t eat leaves but only likes things that are red or have a prominent color, such as peppers or carrots,” Ryabov said.
The public can admire the two-headed turtle in the Natural History Museum in Kiev until April 20.
