A lion whispers, a giraffe flirts with the camera, a fish smiles widely, an elephant mother smiles ear-to-ear in the middle of a flower field… The lovely humorous moments of the animals make viewers laugh. laugh.
Despite being affected by the COVID-19 epidemic, the 2020 Funny Wildlife photo contest still received a record number of entries: 7,000 photos. This is the highest number after 6 years of the competition being held.
Like every year, this year’s contest has caused a stir on forums and in nature-loving communities with “unstoppable” photos of animals in the natural world.
According to photographer Tom Sullam – representative of the organizing committee, the contest aims to raise awareness of protecting diverse habitats on Earth. Behind the funny moments of animals that create a lot of laughter, viewers will have to “wow” at the clarity and innocence of the wild world. From there, people are expected to pay more attention to sustainable development issues.
“We believe that humor and positivity will have a strong impact on awareness and be more contagious,” said Tom Sullam.
He also said that for many years, the contest has cooperated with conservation funds around the world to deduct part of the funding for wildlife rescue work.
