Visit the natural gem collection of Mr. Le Phuc Tieng – Chairman of the City Aquarium Association. In Buon Ma Thuot, we had the opportunity to admire the pure flowers growing from very strange natural rocks.
The owner of the gem collection said it was an Udumbara stone flower – a very rare type of flower that blooms from natural stone crevices. During his journey of more than 20 years of collecting gems, Mr. Tieng was fortunate to interact with gemstone associations from North to South.
Udumbara flowers grow around the rock crevices
Udumbara stone flower’s scientific name is Aragonite. Under harsh natural conditions, rock crevices form extremely rare white or yellow calcite crystals. They are considered the most beautiful flowers that nature has created, so they are named Udumbara stone flowers (flowers of heaven, not found on earth).
Udumbara stone flowers are placed on a stand
Udumbara flowers easily fall off if hit hard, so owners often put them in a glass box or place them on a sturdy stand, displayed in the most luxurious place of the house. Udumbara stone flowers have a luxurious and quintessential beauty and are found in highland areas such as Dak Lak, Gia Lai, and Binh Thuan – where volcanoes were formed over millions of years.
In the crack of the rock grow two beautiful bunches of Udumbara flowers
Because it is a heavenly flower, rarely found in nature, many people seek out Udumbara stone flowers to make feng shui stones to place in their homes, living rooms, and offices to pray for luck and fortune. The larger and more transparent the stone flower, the more rare it is and the greater its price. The crystal clarity of each petal will be the core of beauty and value.
Udumbara flowers are as white as snow
A flower that has an overall appearance both in terms of external shapes and large, beautiful flowers will have a very high value. At some exhibitions, a single Udumbara flower fetches a price of up to several hundred million – a representative of the Dak Lak Ornamental Society revealed.
