Plants grow favorably at average temperatures from 10 – 20oC. Because this type of ornamental cabbage does not roll its leaves, at temperatures above 25oC, the plant still grows normally. When growing cabbage, you should choose soil rich in nutrients, high in humus, and well-drained. If there is too much water within 3-5 days, the plant will rot and die.
Before sowing, seeds should be soaked in warm water for about 20 minutes to soften the shell, then soaked in cold water for 8-10 hours before sowing. During the first 3 days, water 1 – 2 times.
