The colt with an unusually large humped head and deformed legs was born at around 1:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 5. It is known that this mutation is the result of a congenital genetic disorder during the mother’s pregnancy. Due to not having a timely cesarean section, the mother horse died a few minutes after giving birth.
The eyeballs bulge, the skull is deformed and the upper jaw is shorter than the lower jaw.
According to experts, the congenital genetic disorder in this foal is due to a genetic mutation or a genital disease that the mother horse has. The disease caused the foal’s skull to grow larger than normal to accommodate the spilled brain fluid.
